Service Positions
The Town of Union complies with NYS Civil Service Law and
regulations.
The majority of our full-time clerical, technical, and supervisory
positions are competitive under Civil Service and require examination.
These positions are filled from Broome County Civil Service
competitive lists of eligible persons.

Full-time clerical, technical, and supervisory
positions are generally subject to Civil Service requirements. See our

Full-time, CSEA union employees are
eligible for hospitalization, master medical and prescription; dental;
vision; NYS statutory disability; workers' compensation; and life
insurance. Premiums are partially paid by Town of Union employees. Deductibles
and co-payments apply.

hospitalization, master medical and prescription; dental; a choice of
two vision plans; NYS statutory disability; and workers' compensation.
