The Town of Union complies with NYS Civil Service Law and regulations.

The majority of our full-time clerical, technical, and supervisory positions are competitive under Civil Service and require examination. These positions are filled from Broome County Civil Service competitive lists of eligible persons.

Full-time, CSEA union employees are eligible for hospitalization, master medical and prescription; dental; vision; NYS statutory disability; workers' compensation; and life insurance. Premiums are partially paid by Town of Union employees. Deductibles and co-payments apply.
