  2. Town of Union based leagues comprised of a majority of Town of Union residents

B. Requests for field reservations must be submitted on the Facility Agreement and include the name and phone number of the contact person, name of league or team, dates, times and fields desired. Percentage of Town of Union residents will be determined by rosters. Addresses will be verified.

  • Reservations are finalized only after insurance certificates and required fees have been received by the Parks & Recreation office.
  • No fees, charges or donations may be collected by leagues/teams to spectators of the game or event.
  • All refuse must be collected and placed in the proper receptacles before leaving the reserved area. Failure to do so may result in the revocation of permits.
  • No persons shall use any violent, obscene or profane language while on the park grounds, nor shall anyone conduct himself in a disorderly manner or commit any nuisance. Such occurrences may result in the revocation of permits and the arrest of such individuals.
  • All persons are expected to make careful and prudent use of park facilities and may be held responsible for all damage to persons or property.
  • Any violation of park rules or regulations may be cause for revocation of field reservation.
  • Lights at Glendale will be turned off at 10:45 p.m. and lights at Highland will be turned off at 10:00 p.m. or upon conclusion of the games, whichever occurs first, as a courtesy to neighbors and to keep electric costs down. Lights at 17C Sports Facility will be turned off as games finish or at 10:45 p.m., whichever occurs first. Games will not be scheduled to start past 9:30 p.m.
  • Manager should notify the Parks & Recreation office of any perceived safety hazards as soon as they are noticed.

Failure to use fields as scheduled may result in revocation of permit and refusal to issue permit for succeeding seasons. Contact the Parks & Recreation office immediately if there is a cancellation or if a field is going unused, except in the case of inclement weather.

Registration Dates and Fees

Listed below is important information for those requesting fields. The fee policy and facility agreement is attached. The steps for scheduling fields are listed below. All information received will be returned if not filled out completely or if requested information is missing.

  1. Read all information.
  2. Leagues/Teams requesting field time must fill out a Facility Agreement Form.
  3. Requests must list specific dates and times requested.
  4. Requests must be accompanied by team rosters with names, addresses and schedules.
  5. Call the Parks Department with questions. Incomplete request forms may delay the scheduling process and
cause your league/team to forfeit desired playing times.

The following may help answer your questions:

  1. All Youth Leagues and Teams are exempt from field user fees.
  2. A game will be defined as a one and one-half hour (1 1/2 hour) time slot.
  3. If you have an advanced league and manage to schedule two or more time slots back to back, you may squeeze games together (i.e. 3 one-hour games into 2 - 1 1/2 hour time slots).
  4. Fees apply to all playing times, including practice, regular season play and playoffs.
  5. The town will credit league/teams for games canceled by umpires, park officials or rain. At your written request, you may reserve make-up dates, providing fields are available, instead of receiving credits.
