The Town of Union Highway Department provides loose leaf pickup around the middle of October.

Leaves only should be deposited in the roadway (no branches or brush).  Do not put leaves in drainage ditches, according to Local Law 12-1. 

Leaf pickup will continue, weather permitting, until collection is complete. The Highway Dept. collects loose leaves in the fall only. Debris from spring clean up as well as any leftover from fall must not be deposited in the roadway. Residents are required to put debris in cans for yard waste pickup (see Refuse Dept.).
